At least with an HTTP proxy, can't you get the 'real' ip by having the 
web page on a secure server?

For example, if Julian would put the web page that is used to post to 
the newsgroup on a secure server, wouldn't it post the real IP whether 
they are using a proxy or not and probably unbeknownst to the person 
using the proxy?
