Been somewhat busy for a few days, wondering what you decided.

If they are using Dreamweaver MX 2004, it has built-in FTP support for 
publishing the site.  So, if they developed a template forr their 
customer proof gallery, they could place the images onto the page, hit 
the Publish button, and voila.

This doesn't solve the maanaged access issue.
