cesmail.net is owned by the Jeff who owns the email system. If you look at
this link you can see how the RFC defines the series of commands issued
during a pop session:

Working thru the examples there it appears that when messages are left on
the server -- i.e. no dele is issued for a retrieved message -- that message
numbers have to be kept well sync'ed between the pop server and the
accessing server. So the problem must lie in that area. Now whether the
unsync'ing occurs because of a yahoo problem or a horde/spamcop problem and
so old messages are retrieved is something I can't determine. Also as this
is something that only occurs erratically so that it can't be reproduced at
will also makes it almost impossible to debug.
