It appears that the 'normal' path from googlegroups posting into the
newsserver into .help is consistent in that way -- but that doesn't yet
help me understand it/why. That is, my recent post from google groups
took the same path.

Path: news.spamcop.net! newsfeed-3001.bay.webtv.net! news.glorb.com!
postnews.google.com! g43g2000cwa.googlegroups.com! not-for-mail

This below is a path from a /webtv/ user IP into google groups and then
into my EL newsserver

Path: newsspool2.news.pas.earthlink.net! stamper.news.pas.earthlink.net!
elnk-nf2-pas! newsfeed.earthlink.net! newshub.sdsu.edu!
postnews.google.com! g47g2000cwa.googlegroups.com! not-for-mail

That is a very very consistent path from sdsu newshub to the EL
newsserver. That is also a very very consistent path from googlegroups
up to the sdsu server.

What I think you are saying is that spamcop.help resides on and feeds to
and from the webtv newsserver, which also gets its feeds from glorb
which is how it communicates with the google postnews.

In one sense, it is 'simpler' to me to understand how posting into
googlegroups gets onto the SC newsserver than it is for me to understand
how come occasionally a post gets from the SC newsserver into
googlegroups spamcop.help.
