That actually doesn't explain anything at all, since you proved your ISP 
stores the envelope recipient data in the headers.
I have an ISP running Postfix and Courier and the envelope recipient 
appears in every single message (including junk not addressed to me).
Also the logs may not show the actual alias used, but only the users mbox, 
unless it has been configured it to specifically do so.
