Thanks for that.

Although I can see what you've done, I don't have enough expertise to 
completely understand why you've done it - and so can't "correct" the 
source of future spam where spammy is using the same trick. Even if I did, 
I suspect that altering the source and then sending LARTS via SC would be 
against SC's terms of use (or would it?).
