only in your 'mind' does it follow, not in reality or in clarity.
Newsgroups have many stumbling blocks in communicating. You/we need to
do everything 'in your/our power' to facilitate the communication. Just
because you are thinking about something you recently read doesn't mean
it is currently in the mind or understanding of the next reader. In
addition, it is most often the case that the topposter doesn't actually
accurately address what s/he is trying to address, because the words are
slightly off the mark and nonresponsive. The reply misses the earlier
statement a little bit because the topposter is 'recalling' what was
said and the recall is inaccurate, imperfect.

The only thing which would be 'reposted' or cited is/are the precise
words to which you are replying. Not 'everything.' Bottom posting is a
very very bad problem in its own right and we are not discussing bottom
posting. We are discussing trimmed contextualized vs untrimmed
noncontextualized. You are the one reposting everything below you and
wasting space. I am trimming and contextualizing for both of us.
