Here is my scorecard for his incompetence points:
o he filled out an application on a page that tells you how to
subscribe and unsubscribe
o he received a confirminational reply to the application to get the
mailing list confirming his application and giving him directions for
how to unsub or make other changes to which he *again* responded
o every time he got an item in his mailbox, it contained unsub
instructions
o every time he posted in here to ask to be unsubbed, he was posting
over the included instructions for making the changes which had been
described to him in items 1, 2, and 3 above
The business about what he read and didn't read in the above items which
were right in front of his eyeballs counts on my scorecard as points for
his incompetence. It does not count toward any points for competence.
The pertinent information was sitting in front of him and 'handled'
every step of the way.
Competence in this context refers to the ability to read and comprehend
the words in front of you on a 'form' you are 'writing on'.
