I've always wondered why they didn't design a logout option to http-auth.
I came up with a simple(?) kludge that might work, with the help of the
http server.  What if you were to pass a flag (or a special URL) in the
http request that told the http server to fail the http-auth automatically?
Wouldn't that cause the browser to throw out the existing login information
and attempt logging in again?

For example <http://mailsc.spamcop.net/?logout> could tell the http server
to fail any http-auth that is included.
