i'd agree with that in general... but this doesn't seem to be a "please give
us your address so we can challenge our customer as to how they got the
address and take action if necessary" , postmastergeneral actually say they
need your address so they can take it off the list...
they claim their policy is opt-in, but i'm unsure as to how bothered they
are if their customers are giving them addresses which aren't opt-in... when
you complain, they add you to their "remove" list - having now given them
two of my regularly spammed addresses, i've received no more spam from them,
but from the amount of spamcop reports they're getting, they obviously
haven't changed their practices...
however, there's no point going upstream - i can't imagine that their
upstream is going to cut off a big customer... it needs some attempts at
education (which i imagine will fail - it was in response to claims that
they decided to redefine spam...) followed by an RBL nom...
