Since you brought it up:
(body of reply)
Doug
I have forwarded this on to my supervisor. I am sorry about all the
problems. I do not know how they got your email address. They did not get it
from me, I can assure you of that.

Ira:

Sorry to bother you with this, but how did I get registered?

I intentionally avoid 'registering' anything, and certainly don't expect
*spam* from giving my email addy to tech support.

You have received this offer from BookmarkExpress because
you are a registered Visioneer user. To discontinue receiving

I was never given a choice to opt-in or opt-out from this. It is Unsolicited
Commercial E-mail (UCE), and is theft of service. (yes, I'm rabid about
this).

If there's something buried in your policy about this, you (I mean
Visioneer) should un-bury it.

Between the bs about not supporting Win95 (as it says on the box), and this,
I am quickly becoming very anti-Visioneer.

I expect you will forward this to the approprate person(s) within Visioneer,
and I'll get a response from them/you. Further email WILL result in a formal
complaint; I will NOT 'unsubscribe' from something I never subscribed to in
the first place.

Sorry to pick on you about this, but I figure you're one of the "good guys".

Thanks.
