SD, thanks for bringing this to our attention.

I think I should point out that this means that these newsgroups are now
much more public than before. Google isn't doing any email address munging,
like our own private archives do, for instance. Also, Google searches will
now turn up anything you've posted in the SpamCop newsgroups, including
stuff in .social for instance.

Basically, although the news server has never been a secret, it has been
fairly private. If Google keeps archiving all our postings, that's not the
case any more.
