K... Wow. Got a whole lot more out of this than I thought.

As I mentioned above.. Just a place for everyone to kinda throw ideas out
here. Doesn't mean they're good ideas, doesn't mean that what is here right
now doesn't work.

One thing that I can completely agree with is the e-mail address stealing.
People who DO use this forum, and know how spammers work, know not to post a
real, unprotected, e-mail address, or as Jaqui said, they get MORE spam. A
web-based forum would help with this. You use aliases there, but it is a
whole lot harder to steal an e-mail address for spamming purposes. In fact,
Ikonboard (I use Ikon alot because I am familiar with it, not stating
whether it is better or worse than any others) allows a "double-blind"
e-mailing. Never have to surrender your e-mail, but you have to submit a
valid one to be authorized to post.

The quoting/reply features are a whole lot better as well. Better than the >
here, but that's just my preference.

I invite anyone to take a gander at one of these forums, in action. As I
mentioned, I took over the operation of one several months ago (No HTML
jokes... Took me three months to get all the damned bugs and pop-ups the
last guy left for me out of the system..As I say there... "I'll GET TO IT!")
and things, generally, run pretty well. Gander at www.radiogodsforum.com Use
a Login of Spamcop with a password of spamcop. No posting privs or anything,
but you can look at the format and compare it to this and anything else.

And if I am now accused of spamming, i'm just gonna beat my damn head
against the desk for a while. There's nothing to buy there... Just a forum..
That's it. spam=uce? Well, that ain't Commercial!

Someone was gonna say that... I just know it.
