I am actually a subscriber to their newsletter, and a number of Yahoogroups
to which they had been sending it (yes, I know about Yahoogroups, but I use
an address that is already spam-heavy, so I just filter and LART). I just
sent Marc Ash a piece of my mind. They had been subbing these lists to
their list, much of the time without asking anyone who admined the lists,
or the people who were members. This is extremely poor netiquette, and it
certainly does qualify as spamming. If this is how they're handling
distribution to discussion groups, I imagined they might have other issues
as well with UBE, and I knew it was only a matter of time before this
happened. They know not the wrath they incur, but they will very quickly.
I'm hoping they get a clue and quick, and I've told them I'm done with them
as a subscriber or reader if they can't find one.
