No. But in dim recesses of recall I know the site as I, or someone
close, has received a birthday greeting through them. I don't sense
that they are into spamming as they are not apparently hitting the
spamtraps and are not much on anybody's blocklist.

I went to their site and I recognize the page as somewhere I have
been before to view a greeting sent by a friend. The way they work it,
you can't just go there and ask them to get a birthday: you must
actually "join up" to do so. I should think your email was not part of
a bulk mailing program, but may have been requested on behalf
of a member. And I doubt said member scored big points with
them by pointing them to you. They have probably been up at
least four years as my failing memory serves me. I am thinking
they are out of their way to avoid being associated with the
concept of spam and the only disreputable vendors who do spam.

I believe, and may know someone who uses the service that
might confirm on this, that the service is "free", possibly paid
for by on-site advertisers. Ennyhoo, I would be disinclined
to report it as spam, but I would use their webform to report
a user abuse, as that is something they can easily remedy.
I believe they are sincere in their anti-spam position, but I
would be disinclined to use their services.

Glenn
