before this problem occurred. My details were originally listed, but have 
since been removed.

The problem here is that Nominet is required by the data protection act to 
get permission, for such details to be listed. The cost of doing this is 
prohibitive. A conservative estimate of doing this is £5 per domain, which 
is something like 2 years registration fees (Nominet is a non profit 
organisation). What would this achieve, very little as the registrar is 
contactable in most cases via the registrar's agent. On top of that there is 
evidence that the registrar's details are being misused by spammers and 
fraudsters.
