But what I mean is you don't need the :password part, you can bookmark just 
the username part such as http ://username at domain.com or ftp 
://username at ftp.site.com and it will ask for your password, or change the 
username in the URL to login to a second account - which is why I do it.
At least that used to work in Netscape, it works in Mozilla but it doesn't 
fill in the username for you.

Also there's an extension at http://mmcc.cx/mozilla/ called "Clear HTTP 
Auth" which works very well to clear Mozilla's auth cache, but I believe it 
might also be clearing it from the password manager.
