Different way to use SpamCop - seems effective and easy

I am suspicious that _some_ people who receive the SpamCop complaints
forward the reports to the spammers. Another possible answer is that
spammers have figured out a way to determine who is complaining even
though thier e-mail address is not being given out. _I_ HAVE figured
out how to do this but will not be posting the info. :)
I have tried tagging my spam and e-mailing it to my SpamCop submission
address. When SpamCop replies with the list of URLs to visit I simply
DELETE the e-mail from SpamCop WITHOUT visiting ANY URLs !
Seem like a waste of time ?
Not if you read how SpamCop operates. You still send the address to
the relay testers but you are NOT making a report. Presumably someone
else somewhere gets a spam from the Spammer and THEY submit a report
either through SpamCop or some other service. Thus by reporting and
then not complaining further you sort of get a partial "vote" against
the Spammer's mail route without passing the info neccesary to determine
who you are!
I have tried this for a month now after I noticed that some spammers
just would not quit. I now no longer get spam from them and my overall
spam has decreased a further small amount.
To sumarize:
Use Spamcop as normal, at first. After a few months submit reports
without clicking on the URLs for a week or two and watch the remaining
spam disappear!
Weird but it works,
