There is a forum discussion going on about the pinned faq "Why is my
email blocked" - looking for some improvement in the 'Merlyn' item
JeffG. pinned. I may sign up to go over there and post some things,
such as how to post in a newsgroup ;-) but in the meantime, I'll kick
this around over here. I'm not fond of webforums.

SpamCop doesn't block mail, it makes a list of spamming IP addresses and
your mail recipient's provider uses such a list to block undesirable
mail.

The spamcop blocklist is a database of IP addresses which look like
11.222.33.4, not user email addresses which look like
username at domain.com

A listed IP address has been determined by SpamCop and its reporters to
be a source of spam, and it is listed in the database until it stops
sourcing spam. Errors can be made in the listings.

If your mail goes out an IP address on that list, many providers will
block your mail along with the spam they are blocking, and usually name
in the blocking report which IP address was so listed.

If you have the necessary information about which IP is blocked,
sometimes helpful information may be obtained from the spamcop forum,
webpages, or newsgroups. You can also 'look it up' on this webpage
