If a Bellsouth customer is paying Yahoo! $19.95 for an email account, he has
authorization to use the smtp.mail.yahoo.com server, which currently expects
incoming connections on port 25. But Bellsouth is blocking their customer
from accessing smtp.mail.yahoo.com by blocking port 25 out. The solution,
according to the RFCs, is for Yahoo! to start allowing SMTP AUTH connections
to smtp.mail.yahoo.com over port 587.
