I admit that what I have done and am still doing is questionable. I do
understand the nature of the arguments and the nature of spam. I dislike
spam. That is why I have been investigating it and reporting it, and why
I joined this newsgroup.
What I feel that is missing in much of the dialogue is a key ingredient.
Intent. I am only trying to help innocent (yes naive, or whatever term
you want to use to describe them) folks know that they have the been
duped. Their personal information has been obtained fraudulently, and
that they need to deal with it. I have also researched and supplied the
information to them that will help them deal with it. I am not asking
them to spend their money, nor trying to change their religious beliefs,
telling them how to lose weight, enlarge their organs, get rich, obtain
meds, girls, etc. Nor am I the least bit interested in hero status, or
my own salvation. Just having compassion for my fellow humans.
I still have not heard back from one 'rube' that they have been
contacted by any financial institution telling them that this happened
to them. Leaving this up to Paypal means....
Who has finally gotten a little bit of sleep and is not so grouchy.
