How do you know you send 12 e-mails every time Outlook does a
send/receive-cycle? Is it because you can see them in your
Sent items folder or do you receive non-delivery reports also
called bounces of all those e-mails which couldn't be delivered.

If it IS outlook which send out the e-mails the programs you
described should have detected something if it was a virus but
if you receive bounces - well you just have to sit tight,
empty your inbox and just wait for it to go away.

Somebody is sending out spam in your name and there is nothing
you can do about it - I have written a page myself (and there
are quite a few others which will tell you more) which you may
