I use IE as my primary browser (paradoxically, more locked down that Firefox
that I use occasionally), and I can see no problems with the site layout on
IE.
The problem I have with the 'single line of text' is that it appears
unprofessional. Perhaps there are W3C-compliant features that IE can't
handle properly, but the message could be worded better without antagonising
so many people.
I would be willing to bet that a more diplomatic wording would mean that
this entire thread would not exist.
