A report to the appropriate abuse address is useful though IWHT since 
from the time in the headers they can see from their logs who it was and 
alert them that they are infected.  YMMV

I had a mail from a mate which was ***SPAM***ed as the dial up IP he 
happened to pick up was blacklisted. I reported this to his IP and they 
checked up and found the latest report at the blacklisting site (not sc) 
related to July last year and they have now started to try and get it 
delisted.
