Those aren't my words.  Those are Karsten Self's words from the link I
posted.  He's saying that 'they' felt like the web's poor cousin's 2
years ago, but now 'they'/he finds that gnu/linus has a 'kickass'
browser environment, which he prefers over MS Win.

Summary
GNU/Linux has a kick-ass web-browsing environment. In a reversal of the
situation just two years ago where we felt like the Web's poor cousins,
it's better than MS Windows' default, and is my preferred browsing
environment. The reasons largely boil down to control and convenience:
the free software philosophy puts far more credence to the user's wants
than a proprietary product which sees the user as a captive audience to
be marketed to. Content management, tabbed browsing, and control over
what information is transmitted over the Web win strongly
