[SpamCop-List] Hmmm... spam or... ?

I just had a thought (leave it)...

I'm reading all these posts about richter and a question came to mind. I
know some things about Judges and I know that, among many other things, it
really annoys them to hear someone say 'they cant do this and they can't do
that' and 'thats not allowed' or 'thats wrong'... if no-one can hand over an
alternative. For example; what would a person say to a judge when somebody
like Richter says 'but I have no alternative, your honor. there's no other
way to draw customers'?

I'm asking because I really can't think of an alternative to spamming when
it comes to mass marketing. That leaves me with a doubt and I really hate
having a doubt when it comes to spammers and would like to be able to have
some ammunition like that if anyone ever says it to me. To put it in
context; assume the spammer is broke (can't afford to advertise on
television, magazines or radio). What other choices does the wannabe/spammer
have?

-K

PS: I know many of us would simply answer 'who cares? just dont spam
anyone', but I would really like to know some answers.
