What I see is that somebody wrote a Window-only utility for virus
reporting. This doesn't address several issues:
1) Providers get overwhelmed by reports, as Oliver noted. ISPs should
not need hundreds of reports to identify an infected machine. It's not
like mosts senders would deny being infected.
2) Platform independence. Requiring Windows to report a Windows virus
is impractical.
3) Spamcop integration. I have to read every message with subjects like
"Re: Hi dude" to make sure that it's spam and not a virus. It would be
very helpful if Spamcop sorted spam and viruses at least for the paying
users.
