That one statement made me rethink my options for high speed internet (I'm
moving and can finally get it) and eliminate Comcast from the list.

I don't think I want my ISP "surreptitiously" sending my modem a damn thing
to reconfigure anything any more than I want my husband to surreptitiously
bring home the crabs.

I just can't figure out why anyone hasn't gone back to the
software/spyware/scumware secretly installed with programs like Kazaa and
Gamespy and see what that software is *really* doing.  I'd put money on
those programs being a few of the culprits.
