That's pretty bizarre.  If '! Chris' is going to reach all the way back
to a thread from Mar 28 [at least it was this year's March] to make a
meaningless reply, having a little context would certainly demystify.

reports of viruses;  Paul, Mike Richter, & Miss Betsy reply.  The
original post by exclamation mark space Chris was Mar 20, hir next reply
to Paul & Mike was Mar 28, immediately followed by Miss Betsy's.  Now
this one.

So, the way I figure it, sorta geometrically but not logarithmically, is
that since hir first reply was 8 days after the first, and hir second
reply was about 8 weeks after the second, then hir next reply will be
something between 8 months and 8 years from now.  I certainly hope a
little context will be provided at that belated date.
