The group is also archived here, no special gmane problem.

In theory gmane offers to "munge" anything with an "@", but
in practice that would be hard to read (e.g. mxcomp), and as
I said, there is already a public archive.  IMHO it's a good
thing to offer a news interface to numerous mailing lists on
news.gmane.org, I like it.
