Good quoting is a skill, and many folk are too lazy. The situation
is not helped by the fact that Outhouse Distress is the default
news client for net newbies, and does a very poor job of assisting
in the correct formatting a followup post.
I think the next release of OE (if there is one) should have default
settings which warn the user when they reply - something like:
"You have excessively quoted the previous article in your reply"
"You have quoted nothing in your reply"
"Your sig delimiter is misplaced, or your sig is too long"
