Bad form, Fred K.  There's a spamcop.test group here for such malarkey,
to say nothing of myriad test groups specifically for such a purpose on
other news servers.

Never post test messages into a normal active group.  It is rude and a
sign of a newbie.  Being a newbie isn't rude in and of itself, but newbie
instructional groups and pages give specific advice about all that to
