Well, for one, it saves the expense of having to buy all new machines in
order to run the code. I'm still waiting to be able to migrate completely to
Linux. Having to keep dual-booting backwards and forwards in order to use
different apps/hardware is a pain in the ass. It's what we've been landed
with thanks to everyone listening to the marketing hype. (Of course we're
talking Desktops/Workstations not servers).
