Symantec and McAfee both are bloated and often cause conflicts. Unless 
my client really wants to keep them, I will uninstall them. Many times I 
have worked on computers with updated Symantec or McAfee AV or Security 
Suites and they have been loaded with  a variety of malware.

Both also have aggressive marketing that I don't care for.
