Rational enough for me.
I've got a feeling that "logic" or "rational" is in the eyes of the
beholder.  If you grew up using one date format, it becomes logical to
you.  I fail to see logic involved between placement of dd and mm and yy.
Really makes no diff to me - where does logic come into play?
