Isn't that just an excuse for not doing it right the first time?

Imagine someone saying: "Because from my career as a professional 
architect I have learned that any large building is NEVER finished. When 
it is abandoned a skyscaper will still have defects. Just the nature of 
a very complicated beast."

Or: "Because from my career as a doctor I have learned that any 
operation is NEVER finished. The patient will still be suffering side 
effects when he dies. Just the nature of a very complicated beast."
