[SpamCop-List] Reporting usenet spam

Hello all, long time since I've last posted here.. :-)

I tried reporting a newsgroup spammer using Spamcop. It worked well, Spamcop 
recognized that it was usenet mail and set up a report. What I found strange 
is that Spamcop did not report to the ISP owning the IP addy from where the 
spam was posted. Is it possible for spammers to fake the NNTP Posting host?
