The impression I get from the original message is that Michael was 
dragging a scroll bar, the mouse slipped off the scroll bar and caused a 
click on an ad, which subscribed him to some list. As for how they got 
his home e-mail, rather than his hotmail address, it's rather simple. If 
he has that address stored in his browser settings, it can be read.
