I realize all of that sounds like I'm arguing against the reporting -- 
but actually my position is more of a 'devil's advocate' to discuss or
debate how the reporting of an empty spam might be considered both
'controversial' and not clearly and unambiguously formally approved in
the /real/ faq.

That's fine by me, and I've never seen a deputy come out openly
/against/ -- and one deputy /supports/ openly in the forum.
