That won't do much to stop that type of spam.
You need an ISP that blocks open proxies, or even Spamassassin would filter 
them out for you.
You can change your eMail address, but if your ISP is open to dictionary 
attacks that won't help much either unless you use a very obscure address.
Thunderbird has very good spam filter, once you have it trained it should 
pick those out for you and you won't have to look at them, you'll still 
have to download them of course.
