Hello SpamCop user,
This email is not spam. The only way to receive this email is to enter your
email address in the field located on this website.
http://www.cpirc.com/news_links.htm
The opt out link located at the bottom of the email DOES work.
Regards,
Davin

Here was the reply that I sent back to davin at tera-byte.com
abuse at tera-byte.com, postmaster at tera-byte.com
The form located on the page you mentioned at
http://www.cpirc.com/news_links.htm
also does not confirm if a person wants to join the mailing
list and can be easily abused by anyone on the internet and anyone
can enter an email address and maliciously sign some one up for this
mailing list with out authorization.
This has been confirmed by several other anti-spammers out
there and this has been tested quite extensively.
They should consider using a confirmed opt in approach to confirm
if they want to join the mailing list or not. And at the some where in of
each
confirmation email they should put a stating what the IP was that was used
to do that signup so any kind of abuse can be easily tracked and delt with.
One thing I do not agree with is the fact of you telling me to use the
spammers remove link. One that would just confirm my email address
with them and then I would receive even more spam. Nor should I ever
have to unsubscribe from a list that I did not intentionaly subscribe to,
all communication is supose to be consensual. In this case I never asked
for this junk mail and definately do not want it.
For more ideas on running a proper confirm opt in mailling list
please see.

I hope this helps and hope that this can be immediately fixed so I do not
receive
any more junk mail and this abuse can be immediately halted.
Jamie
