Well, I've never had my website host "seared", but I have had "shared"
hosting. :-)
First, note that SpamCop's listing has nothing to do with websites, but
rather only with listing IP addresses from which spam originates.
Second, unless your e-mail goes through a shared SMTP server, the fact
that your website is on a shared server is irrelevent.
However, your e-mail might be going through a shared SMTP server which is
totally unrelated to your website host. Your ISP probably requires that
you use their SMTP server to send e-mail. ("Direct to MX" SMTP is blocked
by many/most ISPs nowadays, in an attempt to help with the spam problem.)
If someone else using the same ISP is spewing spam through the same SMTP
server, then your ISP's server may become listed.
