The OP will probably take offense at this, but ... the Yahoo 
newsgroups are spamming and were spamming me recently, in fact. 
Probably about three weeks ago or a little more, not sure.    And 
when I complained to the groups, I only seemed to reach a black 
hole.  I'm sure they're not all the same and some are probably 
good or OK, but ... spam is spam, unfortunately for the Yahoo 
groups that do spam.
