BTW, Vstream will be T-mobile in the next year or so.

T-Mobil is Deutsche Telekom's mobile division. DT bought VoiceStream at the
end of May. Eventually T-Mobil will be the brand name they use in all their
properties including VoiceStream in the US and one2one in the UK. Another
advantage of VoiceStream is that your account will work anywhere in the
world that there is GSM service (with a compatible phone.) The technology
isn't really "mature" in North America and is mostly in built up urban areas
and the major highways connecting them. Generally with GSM systems there's
no fallback to analog as there is in TDMA (AT&T and much of Cingular) and
CDMA (Verizon/Sprint/Qwest, etc.) GSM appears to be the system that's got
promise as far as the technology goes. AT&T and Cingular are both
overlaying GSM on their systems. It's already in use in Canada on
Rogers/AT&T.
