It wasn't me! It was Mr K. Mean!

My my my... Well, I started on Pornography, so it holds a special
place in me 'art. Later (not much later) I got Happily Ever After
(17s and Faith on one tape) and then and then... Still, I think that
I was at least on the right track (I mean, the previous year my
favorite listening was Kasey Kasem on Sundays...). And, yeah, I
probably still prefer Pornography to 17s - I had it first! Ah. But,
doood, the bass lines in The Holy Hour (from Faith) are incredible
(to feel - maybe less so to hear!). I mean, I can see how you would
like forest, well, yeah, maybe half of the songs on that album...
But what about Faith??? Again, I can see your liking half or so of
the songs, but they are all pretty strong (not quite forest-level,
but consistantly good). Ok, ok, they're equally good and carry a
very common theme... Hence the double album, surely!

Reverse anecdote? Anecdote inspired by my anecdote, perchance?
Yeah, I'll go with that... Anywho... Huh. Well. Yeah. Never gone
that route... Been immersed in the surroundings, but never really
went in for it...

Right. SY in '86. So, you were a bit ahead of the curve, then, eh?
They hadn't started in with the pop stuff yet... Yah, I had a friend
who did her guilliard thesis on atonals... She ate that stuff
(earlier SY) for breakfast... Hmm. Dunno - just checking out their
bio online and it seems that they'd already switched to a pop format
in '85 or so (according to amg, eh?)... Hmm... Anyway, '86 would
have been in support of EVOL, no? Can't say as I've listened to it
much... Round 'bout that time I was very seriously into industrial
'music' (while hanging on to goth and punk). But then, I was still a
youngster...
