Because it is the entire premise behind advertising.  How much of the
garbage that is advertised (not talking about spam here) do you actually
need or want?  If you are not buying, it isn't because you don't need it,
it is because the pitch doesn't have enough sizzle or you haven't heard it
enough to wear you down yet.  Well, maybe you know somebody with a penis
who might need viagra.  As long as 0.001% of the people buy, who cares if
you are pissed off.
