Yes, you can.  That's psychotic behavior.  Run away before you get 
invested thinking you can "help" her.  What is more likely to happen is 
that she'll (try to) turn you into an asshole you don't want to be just 
so that she'll be in the kind of relationship she's most familiar with.  
It's a problem she needs to work out on her own.
