Actually there are strong indications that ethnic origin has some effect on
a tendency toward certain DXs.  Sickle Cell Anemia is almost exclusively
found in blacks.

Skin cancer is predominate in the lighter skin races.  Hemophilia is almost
never found in people who originated below the equator.
