I don't think I can read the rest of the article without becoming insanely
irritated. I got as far as this and I think I'd better stop:
" Tomlinson is on a mission to prove that the Public Broadcasting System has
a liberal bias, and he's doing that with the help of the White House. In the
past, he's hired two ombudsmen to seek out this bias, prompting an internal
investigation by the CPB to determine whether Tomlinson's politics
unlawfully influenced his actions.
And if he can't manipulate the system, he and his coconspirators will
destroy it. The board of the CPB is dominated by Republicans, who are
looking for ways to de-fund the news. If they can't control it, they'll
simply bankrupt it. It's Republican "news" or no news."
What he apparently fails to grasp is that PBS only *appears* to be
liberal-biased because all the other news outlets are bowing to investors
and presenting a right wing bias. ARGH!
