I have no idea. The French Resistance were pretty impressive IMO. I guess
because they did surrender and kowtowed to the Germans but they weren't the
only ones either! America wasn't exactly impressive until after Pearl Harbor
happened. One wonders if they'd really have gone all out if the Japanese
hadn't attacked.
